We’d all like to think the notion of being nourished, (read “eating & drinking”), is somewhat romantic.
In reality, it’s anything but romantic for those involved in getting it to our table!
The skills required to excel at any aspect of cultivating, preparing, serving – and even appreciating – food and drink take years to acquire.
If you’re on the supply side of the equation, there’s the prospect of laboring for what seems like an eternity for next to nothing in terms of wages.
…and yet you keep doing it.
For those of us on the consumption side of the equation, we thank you. Well, we ought to thank you, but that doesn’t always happen.
